Dear TMSA High School Community,

Prahalad Srinivasan has made history today and become the NCHSAA Regional Men's Tennis Singles Champion!

Prahalad has won the 1A East Regional Tennis Championship and securing his place as the number one seed in next week's North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) State Championship.

TMSA Triangle Athletic Department Head Mr. Childress shared that Prahalad's dominant performance since Friday afternoon was truly remarkable. He won both his matches against Eno River's Nick Sedman-Young and River Mill's Yuri Singh in straight sets of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1. In the semifinals, Prahalad faced off against Voyager Academy's Tyler Hinshaw and continued his impressive play by dispatching him in straight sets with a scoreline of 6-0, 6-2.

The final match was a tough one for Prahalad as he faced off against Chatham Central's Jacob Gilliland. Gilliland proved to be a formidable opponent, winning the first set 6-1. However, Prahalad showed his resilience by bouncing back to take the second set 6-3. In the final set, Prahalad proved to be too strong, winning 6-2 and claiming the regional championship.

This victory was a historic one for TMSA Public Charter Schools, as Prahalad became the school network's first-ever NCHSAA Regional Championship winner in any sport. I want to congratulate Coach Wu for his hard work and dedication in coaching Prahalad to this amazing victory. We are incredibly proud of Prahalad's achievement, and we are grateful to have such a talented athlete in our community.

Prahalad will now turn his attention to the state championship, which is set to take place next week (May 12th and 13th) at Cary Tennis Park.

We wish him the best of luck and are confident that he will continue to represent TMSA with the same level of determination and excellence that he has shown thus far.

Great job, Prahalad! We are all so proud of you and can't wait to see what you achieve next.

Sincerely,

TMSA Triangle HS Principal Alden
