TMSA Triangle junior Alexis Rode has been selected to represent North Carolina at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, which will be held in Boston in June.

"I am incredibly honored to have been selected to represent North Carolina at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders,” expressed Alexis her excitement and gratitude. She has known since a young age that her passion lies in the medical field, and her ultimate goal in life is to help others reach their full potential. "I believe that by pursuing a career in medicine, I can make a positive impact on the lives of others and help them become the best versions of themselves," she added.

Her nomination was signed by Dr. Mario Capecchi, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and the Science Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, to represent North Carolina based on her academic achievement, leadership potential and determination to serve humanity in the field of medicine.

"Alexis' outstanding academic achievements, leadership potential, and dedication to serving humanity in the field of medicine have earned her this incredible opportunity," said Principal Alden. "Her passion and commitment to helping others are truly inspiring."

The three-day congress is organized by the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medicine. It is an honors-only program for high school students wanting to become physicians or enter medical research fields. It is designed to inspire, motivate, and direct the top students in the country to stay true to their dream and provide a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goals.

We are thrilled to have Alexis represent North Carolina at this prestigious event, and we do not doubt that she will make the most of this unique opportunity. Please join us in wishing her the very best of luck!
