TMSA Triangle High School is thrilled to announce that Mina Cayli, a sophomore at our school, has been selected for the highly competitive Duke Clinical Research Institute's Summer Training in Academic Research (STAR) Program.

Mina expressed her excitement and gratitude, saying, "I am extremely honored for the opportunity to spend my summer at Duke STAR. I can't wait to pursue my passion for clinical research alongside professors from a school I deeply admire. It's certainly going to be a challenging summer— wish me luck!"

This eight-week program offers undergraduate and high school students, as well as middle and high school teachers, an exceptional hands-on research experience during the summer break. The program is designed to provide participants with a high-quality research experience by matching them with Duke faculty mentors to work on an original, hypothesis-driven project. The projects culminate in a complete research paper, with the goal of having each participant qualify for co-authorship on a peer-reviewed manuscript related to their team's project.

Principal Adam Alden is also proud of Mina's accomplishment, saying, "I am thrilled for Mina. She will be a part of a real clinical research environment with scientists from one of the best medical schools in the country. This is an outstanding achievement!"

Congratulations, Mina! We wish you all the best as you embark on this exciting journey.
