2nd Annual TMSA Science Fair

The 2nd annual TMSA Science Fair was held on Saturday January 25 in NC State’s David Clark Lab Building. Selected students in third through seventh grades presented their science fair projects to the school community and TMSA families. Their projects were also judged by three judges. It was a great opportunity for the students to show what their project proved, and to showcase their science knowledge.

The top three projects in each grade level were also awarded.

In the elementary category (3rd through 5th grade), the top three projects were:

3rd place: Esha Agarwal- Which shape of roof generates the most solar power?

2nd place: Isabella Antonio- How does pulse pressure change with age?

1st place: Elias Guedira- How do age and gender affect multitasking ability?

In the middle school category (6th and 7th grades), the top three projects were:

3rd place: Somya Pandey- Which is more effective, wind or solar power?

2nd place: Ethan Godwin- How does music affect the autonomic nervous system?

1st place- Shruti Marota- How much energy is stored in different foods?

We would like to thank all of the parents for their support through the project, and for attending on Saturday. We would also like to thank all of the wonderful judges. The science fair would not have been such a success without your support! The science fair will be held again next year, for students in 4th grade and up.
