TMSA Receives Outstanding Results in Noetic Math Contest

Students of Triangle Math and Science Academy (TMSA), a public charter school in Wake County, recently participated in the Noetic Learning Math Contest. The Noetic Learning Math Contest is a biannual math challenge for elementary students. The goal of the competition is to encourage young students` interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.  Across the country, 18,334 students in grades 2-6 participated in this contest, representing 366 schools in 42 states. Triangle Math and Science Academy is proud to announce that its students received outstanding results in this competition.

Of the more than 2000 students who competed at 6th grade level nationally, only 9 students received perfect scores.  TMSA is extremely proud to have had 2 of these 9 students in the competition- Benjamin Wu and Forrest Liu.  Thirteen additional TMSA students in grades 3-5 scored at the 90th percentile or greater.

Triangle Math and Science Academy strives to challenge students in the areas of math, science, and technology.  The results of this competition prove once again that hard work, dedication, and perseverance leads to success.
