Principal's Corner

Greetings Tigers!

We had two major events this past week: Award ceremony and principal’s breakfast. It was a pleasure celebrating the accomplishments of our students during the first semester. We distributed more than 500 certificates recognizing our students.

Students who had all A’s in second quarter and their parents had a breakfast with me Friday morning. 93 students were eligible and invited to this event. Keep up the good work Tigers!

Also on Friday, we visited Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown congratulating her new position. Chief Deck-Brown is the city's first African American female police chief.

This Monday is parent-teacher conference day. We encourage our parents to meet with the teachers especially if there is a concern for student’s academics.

On Thursday, we will have luncheon with students, teachers, and guests to celebrate the Black History Month. Luncheon will be held in the cafeteria and 6th grade students and teachers will be joining.

Finally, CISCO technology day has been rescheduled to February 25th.

I wish TMSA Family a happy weekend!
