American Mathematics Competitions (AMC 8) Results

We have got official AMC 8 results. As you may know,  this contest is for 8th grade students, also 5th graders can participate. Last year the AMC 8 contest involved over 150.000 students worldwide.

The contest was very difficult and time also was short based on our students` math skill (25 questions within 40 minutes).  Although the contest was hard, our students got very good score. Our 1st place has got 18 out of 25 which is very impressive. By the way, one of my 5th grade student got second place (very close to 1stplace). Here are names of students who got top three:

1st   Nikita Filenko (6th Grade)                   (Gold)

2nd  Forrest Liu (5th Grade)                         (Silver)

2nd  Shalini Subramanian (6th Grade)      (Silver)

3rd  Samriddhi Sapkota (6th Grade)         (Bronze)

Congratulations !!!

I believe as a school will get more achievements with this kind bright students.
