Mona Lisa in Art Class

The fifth grade art class studied the history of the Mona Lisa and we then divided the painting by using a grid. They learned how to use soft pencils and blending sticks.

Each student was responsible for several random squares to create the mosaic. Once their squares were complete they then had to analyze how it fit with the adjacent squares so that the picture made sense. They worked very hard and enjoyed this project. I am very proud of their work. These students have amazed me with the completed project.
