Principal's Corner

Dear TMSA Families,

I would like to thank all of you for the primary role you play and the great responsibility you have in raising your precious children and shaping the future of our world. These young people are the reason for our existence, the reason behind every decision that we make. Please continue supporting our children, encouraging them, and nurturing their dreams of a great future in the United States of America and throughout the world.

STEM FundraiserOur school is progressing and the quality of the education at our school is advancing. Our teachers are enlightening their STEM scholars enthusiastically in many ways. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all of teachers and administration who continue to display their love of education without any expectation other than to see their students’ educational and personal growth.

I want to personally thank our numerous volunteers and supporters. We will soon have an “appreciation tree” which will visually acknowledge them, so watch for this. Our most recent and generous support came from SAS, along with parent Mr. Bill Baker. The school obtained 50 laptops from SAS which will greatly benefit the school. These kinds of donations enable us to use our limited funds more wisely, but we do have additional goals in place for the future of our school.

One specific goal I’d like to mention is our need for an athletic field. This will cost approximately $400,000.00. Another goal for our school is to improve our use of technology by adding Chromebooks, IPads, and other devices needed to provide for our STEM focus. This will cost us another $200,000.00. As you can see, these goals are quite expensive, but I am not discouraged. I know that together we can acquire the things we need. Although our PTO is helping us to achieve these goals, we need your personal support as well. I see a huge potential in our families and even in our extended family members who may be willing to help their children’s school by dedicating their time and by making donations to the school. We both need and appreciate your support. Please remember that we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and that your donations are tax-deductible. We will happily provide you with the paperwork needed for your 2016 Tax Returns.

While some of our TMSA families have the ability to donate as much as $1000.00 or more yearly to our school, others may be able to donate $500.00 per year. I would like to personally challenge each family to make a $500.00 minimum donation to TMSA this year. I will begin with myself; I pledge to bring $500.00 to our school before the winter break. You could even achieve this by asking ten different family members for a $50 donation. Again, remind them of the tax deduction available to them.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message and for considering my proposal. I know that together we can do great things! I appreciate everything you do now and will do in the future for TMSA and for our children.

Sincerely,

Mr. Kara, principal
