Math Counts State Level Results

Four middle school Mathletes from Triangle Math and Science Academy competed in the North Carolina State level contest of the national MATHCOUNTS® program. 

 

March 13, 2016 - Our team placed 5th among the best 40 middle schools of North Carolina. Our four contestants were Forrest Liu, Kenan Hasanaliyev, Philip Lin, Nitin Chithapalli. Congratulations.

 

MATHCOUNTS is a national program designed to improve math skills among U.S. students.  The program focuses on middle school students, who are at a crucial stage in developing and sustaining math interest and ability.

 

This year MATHCOUNTS Competition Series were consist of approximately 40,000 students, representing more than 5,500 schools from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U. S. territories and Department of Defense and State Department affiliated schools. In North Carolina a total of 220 schools and over 2,000 students have been part of the 2016 competition.
