S.T.E.M. Fun!

STEM skating

Last week, third grade students attended a S.T.E.M. field trip at United Skates of America skating rink.

The students learned about basic geometric figures and the materials used in a roller rink. They also learned about the physics of motion using roller skates to roll and stop safely. The students took part in three different experiments that explored these concepts and then took their investigations even further when they hit the rink for free skating. S.T.E.M. fun at it's finest!
