Model UN Club Attends Conference at Duke University

The 9th grade Model United Nations Club attended their very first conference at Duke University in February.  TMSA was one of many schools from all over the country to participate.  TMSA had 12 students attend and represented countries like Trinidad and Tobago, The United Kingdom, The United States, Cuba, Denmark, and Belgium.  Students who went to the conference participated in a simulation of a United Nations Meeting.  These students had to deliver speeches on prepared positions and help create join-resolutions on real-world problems.  We are very proud of how well these students represented TMSA!

Students who attended the conference were:  Soham Nanavati, Nia Pierce, Tara Rahman, Nivetha Karunakaran, Jacob Driggers, Bram Lovelace, Niti Panchal, Maryam Abkar, Firdaws Bounagui, Bernadette Bianes.
