Animal Camouflage

Second graders in Mrs. Jackson's class learned about animals and presented to the class.

Currently, we are completing a unit on animal camouflage, and students chose an animal to research in class.  They then wrote a report on their animal including information such as it's habitat, life cycle, and appearances.  After completion, they presented to the class and made a safari man to display their report.  This project helped to touch on many goals in not only language arts (researching, writing, etc.), but also in science, and in helping with speaking and listening skills.  Many students now consider themselves animal experts after completing this assignment.
