TMSA to be Represented at the State Geo Bee

On January 22, 2015, TMSA held its 2nd National Geographic Bee Competition where Bram Lovelace (an 8th grader from Rice) won first place.  In order to move on to the next level, Bram had to take a qualification test to see if he could compete in the North Carolina State Nat Geo Bee.  Each state competition is allowed to only accept the top 100 students with the best scores from the before mentioned qualification test.  Therefore many of the winning students from many schools across North Carolina do not get to move on to the next level.

TMSA is thrilled to announce that we received word that Bram qualifies to go to the state level Nat Geo Bee!  The state competition will take place at UNC-Charlotte on Friday morning of March 27th.  We are very proud of Bram, and we know that he will represent TMSA Tigers well.

Bram is part of an ongoing legacy here at TMSA; this is the second year in a row that TMSA has been privileged to have its winning student qualify for this test.  Last year, Adam Pohlman from Berkeley not only went to the state competition, but placed in the top ten!  Let’s hope that we can keep this pattern going in the future
