4A Math

Students in 4A math took the third round of CML and Mathematical Olympiads this week.

Students in my 4A math class worked hard over the past week.  On top of the normal load of math lessons, they also took part in the third round of the CML Pythagorean Division, Euclidean Division, and Mathematical Olympiad Division E.  It sounds like a lot of work, but the students in 4A enjoy the competition and are proud to represent their school.  Many of my students earned perfect scores while some manged to come very, very close.  While this is a nationwide contest, my class continues to be competitive within our own classroom as well.  Students who score in the top 5 in my class get a few points added either to their participation grade or to their lowest quiz grade.  This always increases the kids' motivation to succeed (as you might imagine).
