EOG Results

Dear Parents,

On November 7, 2013, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction released the State’s 2012–2013 test results. These results have taken a little longer than expected since North Carolina adopted a new curriculum in 2012; the assessments and scoring had to be changed to reflect that. The State Board of Education adopted new standards because it wants all students to be on track for success in college and career when they graduate from high school.

If your child took an EOG last year at TMSA, an Individual Student Report (ISR) of your child’s 2012–2013 test scores will be sent home with your child today, Friday, in an envelope along with their report card.

The ISR has changed since the 2011 school year, and does not include your child’s growth from their previous test, if they have taken one before. The district and school score are the same for your child, since we are a charter school and are not part of any school district.

If you would like more information on how to read your child’s ISR, or on things you can do at home to make your child more successful on next year’s EOG, please visit http://www.ncpublicschools.org/docs/accountability/uisrs/eoguisr12.pdf.  You can locate all of the data (school, district, and state) from the 2012–2013 test administrations at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/accountability/reporting/.

If you have any questions on how to read your child’s EOG score, or about testing, please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Have a great weekend!
